Recently, some of the ladies from the Women’s Care Center were invited to attend the Homegrown Conference with Dr. Josh Straub at the downtown campus of First Baptist Church Leesburg. They were able to attend this event due to some very generous donors who provided sponsorships that allowed them to go. What a blessing to hear from Dr. Straub on “how to cultivate an emotionally safe home”.
Dr. Straub offers realistic insight for families who want to live, love and lead well. Since our ladies are working on all aspects of their recovery, including the spiritual, physical and mental aspects, the information was very beneficial for them.
Dinner was provided between Sessions 1 and 2 and not only was the taco dinner delicious, but it was also a nice time to fellowship with some of our Samaritan Inn friends and church family. What a great evening for all!
