Feeling Extra-Loved on Valentine’s Day

Most ladies that come to the Women’s Care Center feel a little unlovable when they first arrive. Because of some of the decisions that they have made, they have burned a lot of bridges with loved ones. Some would even say that they are unsure what “real love” feels like.

The Women’s Care Center is a safe haven for many. It’s a place to come and heal and focus on becoming the woman that God created them to be. It’s a place to be loved on and learn what love is.

The love of Christ and His presence are definitely felt at the Women’s Care Center. Our wonderful volunteers and friends love on our ladies daily, and Valentine’s Day was no exception. Everyone truly made the ladies feel special with cards, beautiful flowers, chocolates and cookies. The night before, there was even a Big Game Party hosted by our Executive Director, Bill Jones, and his family complete with all of the delicious snacks you can imagine and a beautiful red rose for each of the ladies. There was lots of food, fun and fellowship!

The ladies are surely grateful for all of the special gifts, but just feeling the love from everyone made this Valentine’s Day special! If you would like to find out more about the Women’s Care Center and how you could partner with us either prayerfully or financially, please contact our Women’s Care Center Director, Sherry Stewart, at (352) 787-8929.
