The Road Home
For many families traversing the challenging seasons of housing instability, a "home" isn't defined by four static walls—it is defined by safety, community, and the resilience to build a new future.
This week, the Christian Care Center Samaritan Inn, is celebrating a major milestone. One of our beloved resident families has officially graduated from our transitional housing program Phase 1. Instead of signing a traditional apartment lease, they are charting a bold, inspiring new path: moving full-time into a beautiful RV that was donated to help start Phase 2 of the Transitional Housing Program.
A Season of Rebuilding at the Samaritan Inn
Before discovering the Samaritan Inn, this family faced the overwhelming weight of homelessness. When they first arrived, they found more than just a temporary room; they found a community dedicated to a holistic approach to healing.
Over the last several months, they rolled up their sleeves and took full advantage of the resources offered through the Christian Care Center. From financial literacy and parenting classes to personal counseling and career development via the Fresh Start Job Program, they worked tirelessly to break the cycle of crisis and establish long-term stability.
"They didn't just look for a quick fix," says our ministry staff. "They dug deep, built a spiritual foundation, and saved every penny they could to ensure their next step would be permanent."
Why "The Road Home"?
For this family, full-time RV living represents ultimate freedom and autonomy, while still being held accountable to personal and financial growth. By opting for a mobile lifestyle and entering the second phase of the program, they can continue to save and finish the steps to homeownership.
The Road Home has a beautiful double meaning. It stands as a physical reminder of the journey it took to get here, and a declaration that wherever they travel together as a family, they are already exactly where they belong.
Thanks to the support of local volunteers and the Samaritan Inn's Home Sweet Home Essentials initiative, the family didn't leave empty-handed. They drove off equipped with household necessities, kitchen essentials, and a network of prayers from the First Baptist Leesburg community.

Delivering Hope to Lake County
This graduation is a living testament to what happens when a community comes together to deliver hope. The Samaritan Inn exists to move families from positions of vulnerability to the security and safety we have in Christ.
We wish our graduates endless blessings, safe travels, and clear horizons. They are proof that with faith, hard work, and a supportive community, the road ahead is brighter than anyone could have imagined.
