It’s awesome to see how God moves. About a year ago, Karen (who is one of our faithful volunteers) brought her friend Charlene to share her testimony during one of Karen’s classes at the Women’s Care Center. Charlene fell in love with the ladies and said she wanted to come up with a way to bless the ladies and the Center – and that is exactly what she did!
Charlene, along with her husband Wayne and her cousin Rose, are members of Thrivent and they were able to nominate the Women’s Care Center to receive gifting for any special needs. Other friends from their church joined in and they blessed us abundantly! Outdoor patio tables with enough seating for ALL of the ladies…as well as umbrellas, comforters, pillows, sheet sets, snuggly throws, alarm clocks and lots of personal care items. We were definitely blessed beyond measure and even got Thrivent T-shirts that say “Live Generously”. What a great reminder – God is so good.
There were many friends that joined in to be a part of this wonderful surprise! Each and every lady certainly felt special, and the patio table and chairs came at the perfect time. Cookouts this summer will be wonderful with everyone having a place to sit. We are so thankful to all who made this special blessing possible.
