Mother’s Day at the Women’s Care Center

Any holiday at the Women's Care Center is usually a little different and brings a flood of emotions. This year, Mother's Day was no exception. Some of the moms were not able to see their children at this time, and some of the daughters were not able to see their moms. To say there were a few tears would be an understatement!

While at the Women's Care Center, all of the ladies are encouraged to become the women that God created them to be. That means figuring out who they are — without the drugs or alcohol. That means complete surrender. That means a lot of hard work, so that they CAN be the wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters they were created to be.

Although it was not the typical Mother's Day, all of the ladies felt loved on and encouraged by ladies in the community. There were surprise visits with gift bags, flowers, cake & cookies! Truly a lot of kindness and generosity was shown, but it also brought the reminder that others see something in these ladies that they don't always see in themselves.

This year, Mother's Day brought hope – hope for the future and hope to be all that God says we are!
