More Than a Pregnancy Test: Walking with Families Beyond the Pregnancy

When many people think about a pregnancy center, they may picture a woman taking a pregnancy test or talking through her pregnancy options. While those are important parts of what we do, they are only the beginning.
At the Pregnancy & Family Care Center, we believe supporting women means walking alongside them—not only during pregnancy, but throughout the journey of motherhood.
We Equip Parents and Meet Practical Needs
We don't just want to give a mom a bag of diapers—we want to give her knowledge, confidence, encouragement, and practical tools to help her family thrive. We want to encourage moms and remind them that they don't have to walk through motherhood alone.
Our Most Important Work
A bag of diapers can meet a need today. A parenting class can provide valuable tools for tomorrow. But sharing the gospel of Jesus can change a person's life for eternity.

A Mom's Story - A recent interview with one of the families we serve.
Before coming to the Pregnancy & Family Care Center, what did you think we offered?
My neighbor was the one who recommended the Pregnancy & Family Care Center to me. I initially reached out because I was having some difficulties with my baby’s formula, and they were able to help me.
At the time, I honestly thought the center was mainly for pregnant women who needed pregnancy-related information and resources.
My husband was the first one to actually go and when he came home, he was very emotional about his experience, and encouraged me to go in, too. He said, “You won’t regret it. You need to go.”
Seeing my husband so moved made me realize that there was something different about this place. After my very first visit, I remember thinking, I can’t wait to come back. I immediately felt welcomed, cared for, and safe.
What are some of the services, resources, classes, or support you have received here?
One of the resources I have found incredibly helpful is the online classes based on my baby’s age and milestones. As a first-time mom, they have been such a great resource to help me learn about his development, what to expect at each stage, and the things I should be aware of as a mom.
The baby items I can earn as a result of doing those classes has been such a blessing because it provides practical help while also encouraging you to continue learning and growing as a parent.
They also offer Bible Studies that have helped me learned so much about God, strengthened my understanding of His Word, and allowed me to grow closer to the Lord.
What has been the most meaningful part of your experience here?
The most meaningful part has been knowing that I have someone in my corner.
The kindness, encouragement, and support offered by the staff and volunteers helped carry me through my difficult postpartum journey. They helped me grow closer to God and reminded me to be thankful for my little miracle and to enjoy every step of the journey.
I came because I needed help with formula, but God used that first step to lead me to a place where I found so much more—support, faith, encouragement, and people who genuinely cared about me and my family. They may not realize just how much they have impacted me, but they are truly doing God’s work.
What would you tell another mom who is considering coming to the center?
I would simply say: Go. You won’t regret it.
The staff and volunteers are amazing, and there is a genuine sense of peace when you walk through the doors. It is a place where you feel free from judgment and where people truly want to help you.
I truly believe God placed this center and these people in my life at the right time, and I will always be grateful for the impact they have had on our family.
It's About More Than One Moment
A pregnancy can be life-changing, but so is everything that comes afterward.
We don't want to be a place someone visits once for a pregnancy test and never steps foot in again. We want to build relationships and walk alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, parenting, and everyday life.
Because supporting life means supporting the whole journey.
We're here for the pregnancy. We're here for the parenting. We're here for the journey. And most importantly, we're here to point families to Jesus.
