Learning Many Lessons at our Women’s Care Center
The Women’s Care Center has a very full week of class time. These classes include Bible Studies, a 12-step Chemical Dependency class, Relapse Prevention, Finances, Anger Management, Arts & Crafts, and various life skill classes. Counseling is provided by a licensed Addictions Counselor to help the ladies work through their past and enable long term success. A Life Coach also works with the ladies throughout their program and through transition to help them use the tools that they are gaining as effectively as possible.
Central to our program is the principle of personal responsibility which is instilled through everything they do. Daily household chores, service work and meal preparation also play a key role in growth and accountability.
The Women’s Care Center relies heavily on our Benevolence Center for food, cleaning, and paper products. The ladies learn organizational skills and how to best steward the items made available to us. Many of the ladies have never had to plan meals, cook, or take care of household chores. Each and every day is a learning experience.
