It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The ladies at the Women’s Care Center started decorating shortly after Thanksgiving and the beautiful Christmas tree, decorations, garland and stockings just add to the already welcoming, homey feel. For some, the holidays are a little tough when they are away from loved ones, but they begin to realize that they are taking this time to work on themselves and become the women that God created them to be. That is the greatest gift that they can give their loved ones. During their time here, they too are receiving a gift…. An eternal gift and getting to grow their relationship with Jesus Christ – the greatest gift of all!
For most, this Christmas means more than previous years. Not only are they spending it clean and sober for the first time in a long time, but they have hope. They are encouraged and loved on by our wonderful volunteers who pour into them on a weekly basis. There are Christmas parties and gatherings, and they truly feel an important part of everything! They were able to take part in the annual Christmas Stroll, greeting and sharing testimonies and really enjoying themselves at the same time!
