Happy Mother’s Day Beautiful

Holidays at the Women’s Care Center are usually a little different and with that, comes a variety of emotions. Mother’s Day is a special day and sometimes a little bit of a difficult day for many of the ladies. While some of the ladies did have visits with family, some of the ladies did not.

The ladies woke up to the following letter and went to Bible Study, followed by church Sunday morning. Then, they were blessed with donations to treat them to a movie and dinner Sunday afternoon.

Letter on Mother’s Day morning:

Good Morning!

Today is Mother’s Day – and no matter the circumstance that brought you here – or the driving force that keeps you here – one thing is certain…we are all experiencing God’s mercy… How blessed are we that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning! There are some here that have never had anyone call them “mom”…but we have all had those that we have influenced greatly. Maybe we are no longer able to pick up the phone to say “Happy Mother’s Day”…but one thing is for certain…While this Mother’s Day doesn’t come with morning hugs and kisses from your babies, breakfast in bed, or sweet homemade gifts – you are able to give your kids – your family – those special people in your life, the best gift ever…it is what you are working towards…your recovery! You are becoming the woman that God has created you to be – and that calls for celebration! You can be “the woman after God’s own heart”…you ARE the woman that God never gave up on…and God chose YOU for such a time as this! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, BEAUTIFUL!

This year, Mother’s Day brought hope. Hope for the future. Hope to be all that God says that we are. If you would like to learn more about the Women’s Care Center and how you can partner with them, either prayerfully or financially, please contact our Director, Sherry Stewart at (352) 787-8929.
