Beth’s Visit to the WCC

A visit to the Women’s Care Center from a past graduate is always a wonderful treat; especially when they come and share with our ladies about their time in the program and just how God has been moving in their life since they returned home. The recent visit from Beth Blackwell was especially nice because she brought her daughter Faith, and new grandson Elias. In fact, we had the pleasure of helping to celebrate this precious boy’s 1st birthday. Beth surprised us with pizza and cupcakes – two of our favorites!

Both Beth and Faith shared from their hearts, just raw and transparent truth about Beth’s addiction, her rebellion and how it had affected Faith. There were a lot of tears and some laughs also as both ladies opened up completely about the restoration and changes in heart that had taken place. They offered hope to some of the ladies that were just beginning their recovery journey and joy to those who are experiencing some restoration of their own!

It was definitely a sweet time of fellowship that evening, and then Beth and her family got to see many friends and familiar faces on Sunday at church. It’s nice when the past residents come home for a visit, after all, we are forever family!
