"Only fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things He has done for you" 1 Samuel 12:24

I have the privilege of pastoring a small Baptist church in Weirsdale, Florida. Recently, we hosted our biggest Back-to-School Bash yet—and it was a beautiful display of God’s provision and love. We were able to serve over 350 children, providing them with backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and even haircuts.

As a small church, we knew we couldn’t do it alone. So I reached out to the Men’s Residents from the Christian Care Center, and their response was immediate and enthusiastic. Thirteen men volunteered without hesitation.

These men could have spent the day working to earn a few dollars for themselves. Instead, they chose to serve. On one of the hottest days of the year, they showed up with joyful hearts—cooking, serving food, guiding families, and even jumping on waterslides with the kids. They didn’t just speak about the love of Christ—they lived it.

What moved me most was their joy. These men are part of a 32-week residential recovery program, where they’re being poured into daily. Now, they’re eager to pour into others. Their gratitude for what God has done in their lives radiates through their actions.

If you’d like to be part of this life-changing ministry, I’d love to connect with you. Whether through donations, volunteering, or simply committing to pray, you can help impact the lives of men, families, and children in our community.
