Celebrating New Year’s Eve at the Women’s Care Center is always a sweet celebration of the new life that the ladies have begun. For some, it may be the first holiday that they have celebrated clean and sober. For others, they are excited about saying goodbye to the old year and hopeful about welcoming in the new year. This year’s celebration was a wonderful combination of both!
While snacking on some of the delicious food, one of our seniors in the house kicked off the night by asking the question “what were some of your highs and lows for the year”? What transpired was heartfelt testimonies of just what occurred throughout the year and just how God had moved in their lives. There was laughter and there were some tears. It was wonderful to see the growth and the transformation that had taken place.
The night continued with lots of laughs, games, karaoke fun, and lots more food! No one lasted until midnight, but the memories made will last a lifetime. It is an exciting time at the Women’s Care Center.
