That Face You Make

For so many families Christmas can be a time of hustle and bustle... from the daily grind, to all the extras that the season brings. Take a moment, if you will, to consider the face of joy that a good gift brings.  Now, while you are at it, recall all the goodness you have in your life.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like the shifting shadows" (James 1:17).

Our families here at the Samaritan Inn have so much to rejoice over.  Through our partnerships with folks like you, we provide not only the security of a place to stay, but a community and a family who can grow together and support one another.  Though we all, you and I included, deal with various struggles, we too can take time to rejoice.

"However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:20).

Let’s face it, things don’t always seem to go your way, and even if they do, Jesus reminds us there is something more important. Something bigger is at play if you have placed your faith in Him. You (like our families) have security; you have a family and a community. You never have to go at it alone because He will not leave or forsake you. This season, remember to rejoice at what He has done for you.  So put on that happy face, that face you make when you are filled with joy and completely satisfied. And if you have never trusted in Him I ask, “Why not you and why not now?”  We would love to welcome you as family.

From our family to yours!
