Children's Shelter Home

The Emergency Children’s Shelter opened in May 1985, under license by the Department of Children and Family Services. We are currently under contract with Kids Central Inc. (KCI) to provide shelter for 16 children from the ages of 6 to 17 years. These children were removed from homes where they were abused and neglected. We provide a warm, loving environment until a more permanent home can be found for them. The home is staffed by a full-time director and 24-hour supervision. We strive to make a difference in our community and in the life of each child that we help.
