All 92 residents on our CCC campus are SAFE!! Thank you to the many of you who covered us in prayer this past weekend during Hurricane Irma!! Your prayers were truly felt. Although there are many in our city who are still without electricity and there is still much clean-up work left to be done, the Lord truly protected our campus and city from this storm and we are so grateful!
Our campus is still a bit of a mess, our phones and computers are still down, but we are back open to Meet Needs and Share Christ in our community. We didn’t suffer any major damage, but in the weeks to come campus repairs and meeting hurricane related needs will require additional funding. This additional need along with a low giving week during the storm means we need YOUR HELP!
If you would like to help us in these areas, please use the Donate button above and give a one time gift to “Where most needed“. Thank you for your financial and prayer partnership!
Here is an update on our campus and residents. The storm hit on Monday in the early morning hours. As early as that afternoon, many of our residents who live here on campus were out checking on our campus as well as starting with clean up!
Once the city curfew was lifted, some of our staff members joined them to continue the process.
Trailer full after trailer full with hands and rakes and tractors, we started to make a dent on this mess!!
Even though we are still without phone, internet and network access, we are grateful to have electricity and air conditioning! What a true blessing it was to come together and serve alongside of each other in this great task! As of Tuesday, your CCC and CMCC staff were back in the office and excited to see what the Lord will do next. Please keep praying for us as well as our community as we clean up from this storm. Pray also that the Lord will use us for His glory to reach those around us!!
