Irma is Approaching, Prayers Needed

God is our refuge and strengthWith Hurricane Irma quickly approaching, would you take a minute and pray for us here at the Christian Care Center?  We are thankful that the city of Leesburg has been named one of the safest cities for this storm.  Nevertheless, we have met with the Directors of our residential ministries and there are plans in place for how to weather this storm.  We would like to ask that you cover us in prayers within these next few days.  Please pray for our residents who live on our campus and will be staying here, away from the family and friends they miss.  Pray for our staff who will be attending to their needs throughout the storm – for wisdom and strength as we make decisions.  Pray for God to put a hedge of protection around our campus and city.

As Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.”  After all, we know that “the Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.”
