This week, the CCC received a sweet letter from one of our former clients, and we wanted to share it with you:
Dear Care Center –
My husband and I want to thank you for the 3 or more years you provided for us during very difficult days (food bank). Words cannot express thanks for the many times this outreach provided a stretch on the food and a healthy resource for enough food.
In 2010 I lost my job at 55. My husband is a disabled, full-honor medal combat Vietnam veteran…we could not foresee the change our lives would take in 2010. (At one time – as musicians – WE did the fund raisers for foodbanks.) We also want to thank the loving, prayerful counselors who gave us hope. Perhaps because of them our lot has started to change and they helped my husband heal old wounds and he is now in church. We were given a beautiful place to live for less rent…our battle is not over yet but has improved enough we felt it was time to let go of the food bank.
This is God’s unusual work in our lives. We love you, thank you and ask the greatest blessing on your loving service.
What a testimony this letter gives of the tremendous blessing of our incredible volunteers and staff at the Benevolence Center! We praise the Lord for using us for His glory to do what only HE can do as we continue in our efforts to Meet Needs and Share Christ!!
