Our relationship with Kimberly Glover began in 2010 during her first pregnancy. Although Kim received Christ when 14, poor decisions landed her in and out of jail from 2015 to 2016 for stealing and drugs. But while incarcerated, she met Natalie Kraemer from the Pregnancy & Family Care Center (PFCC) who facilitates parenting classes at Lake County Corrections. Before long, Kim was attending Natalie’s classes as well as participating in Sunday Services. Upon her release in September, Kim came back to the Pregnancy Center to complete her parenting. Through the encouragement of our lay counselors, Kim became very involved as she started attending First Baptist Leesburg church services, the TAG Ladies’ Group that meets on Tuesday mornings, as well as Cecil Johnson’s recovery class. Although saved but never baptized, Kim determined to make a new life for herself – free of drugs and full of Jesus, and she asked Cecil to do the honors of baptizing her on November 6, 2016. Oh, and her son? If you were in church service on the Sunday that our Kingdom Music Makers Kid’s Choir sang, you would have noticed Xander up there singing his heart out (and quite animated as well!) We thank Jesus often for Kim’s spiritual growth and sweet spirit. She finds ways to help others such as volunteering for Leesburg’s Blessing Box.
