Wendy Holland, from First Baptist Leesburg, asked me if I would like to be blessed with a summer intern—the answer was a resounding “yes!” Lauren hit the ground running two weeks ago and is already making an impact on our clients and she’s been such a great help to me as well. Lauren is a student at Liberty University in Virginia pursuing a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and is staying with the Hollands during her internship.
“After living out a complacent faith through middle and high school, God drew me to surrender to Him in college. My testimony includes a desire to be loved. He has truly shown me how loved I am by Him.” Lauren has worked with youth groups and led small groups and weekend retreats. She interacts with students in a ministry capacity including leading a group of students to different places around the county to share the Gospel. At Liberty, she also serves as a prayer leader, meeting weekly with a small group of girls during the school year.
Those of you who have already met Lauren know that she is a sweet, kind young lady who ministers with a gentleness and openness that makes her very approachable for those we minister to.
